Title: Deer Safari, Bushcraft Skills & Fungus Foray
Location: Beechenhurst Lodge
Description: The Forestry Commission will be holding a variety of events for the whole family throughout September & October.
The Deer Safari will give you the chance to see the local deer in their natural environment, & you will be guided by an expert wildlife ranger. The Bushcraft Skills event will be held by a forestry ranger who will teach you skills such as building shelters & lighting fires without the iad of matches. The fungus foray will show you the various fungus & mushrooms found in the Forest of Dean, and will show you what fungi is suitable for eating.
